Internal Glazed Double Door Installation in Newcastle upon Tyne
Handyman MultiFix completed an internal glazed double door installation within an existing opening in a Newcastle upon Tyne home. The work included preparing the opening, constructing the necessary timber framing, fitting and securing the door system, and making good around the new installation.
Before: The Original Opening
Before the installation, this was a wide internal opening with no glazed double doors fitted. The photograph below shows the area before Handyman MultiFix began preparing it for the new installation.

Preparing the Opening
The existing opening was prepared for the new installation. This work-in-progress photograph shows the area before the black double-door frame was fitted.

Constructing the Timber Framing and Installing the Door Frame
Handyman MultiFix constructed the necessary timber framing, then positioned the black double-door frame within the prepared opening. The close-up photograph shows Handyman MultiFix carefully positioning the frame against the timber surround before securing it. Both photographs show this stage while the surrounding work was still in progress.

Closing and Making Good Around the Opening
Once the door frame was secure, plasterboard was fitted around the opening. Handyman MultiFix then filled and smoothed the surrounding areas as part of the finishing work. These are work-in-progress photographs rather than the final condition.

Completed Glazed Double Door Installation
The finished installation creates a defined separation between the two spaces while the glazed panels retain light and visual connection between them.

The completed black glazed double doors provide a clean separation between the two areas while retaining the open feel and natural light between the spaces.
