Handyman MultiFix recently completed this flat-pack cabinet assembly in Newcastle. The unit arrived as separate panels, drawers and fittings, so we checked the supplied components before starting the assembly.

The photographs below show the job from the unpacked components through the main build, drawer fitting and final adjustments to the completed storage unit.

Flat-Pack Cabinet Assembly in Newcastle

The project began with the individual panels and fittings laid out ready for assembly. The unit assembled for this project was a SoBuy flat-pack storage cabinet.

We built the main cabinet structure first, checking that the panels sat in the correct positions as the frame came together. We then fitted the internal components and drawer runner system before assembling the drawers.

Before fitting the drawers, we checked the runner positions and spacing. This helped the drawer fronts sit level and avoided uneven gaps across the finished unit.

Drawer Fitting and Final Adjustments

Once the frame was complete, we fitted each drawer and checked how it opened and closed. Small adjustments helped the drawer fronts sit evenly and the cabinet components align correctly.

Before finishing the job, we checked the doors, drawers and overall unit for alignment and operation.

The Finished Cabinet

The finished result was a fully assembled green storage cabinet with rattan-style door panels and four drawers, ready for use. The completed unit provided enclosed storage at the top and drawer storage below.
